Johnny Depp, George Clooney And Alec Baldwin Slam Donald Trump
Johnny Depp, George Clooney and Alec Baldwin aren’t holding back their disdain for Donald Trump. Within hours of each other, all three stars slammed the Republican presidential nominee in separate, unrelated interviews.
“If Trump is elected President of the United States, in a historical way it’s exciting,” Depp told Channel 5 News in London. “Because we will see the actual last President of the United States. It just won’t work after that.” As Gossip Cop reported, this isn’t the first time the actor let his negative opinion of Trump be known. During a Q&A at Arizona State University in March, Depp described the real estate mogul as a “brat” who thinks “everything is mine.” The actor also lampooned Trump in a Funny Or Die sketch earlier this year.
Clooney has also repeatedly bashed Trump in the press, with the actor having used such terms as “idiotic,” “intolerant” and a “xenophobic fascist” to describe the GOP candidate. The Oscar-winning actor also turned Trump’s own campaign slogan against him, saying that supporting the businessman’s presidential aspirations is “the only thing that would prevent America from being great.” But now Clooney, who hosted a Hillary Clinton fundraiser, is going all-out by insisting during a Cannes press conference, “There’s not going to be a president Donald Trump. It’s not going to happen because fear is not going to be something that drives our country.”
Also putting Trump on blast this week is Baldwin, who joked on Thursday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “We don’t really want a president who looks like he’s been dipped in movie popcorn butter.” The actor never mentioned the Republican candidate by name, but it’s safe to assume Trump was the target of his quip.
As Gossip Cop has previous reported, other stars who’ve slammed Trump during his presidential bid include Miley Cyrus, Rosie O’Donnell, Charlie Sheen, Samuel L. Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg and many more.
