Johnny Depp Visits Children’s Hospital As Jack Sparrow (PHOTOS)

The actor stopped by the Great Ormond Street Hospital to surprise a group of sick kids and take pictures, as well as speak with them. This particular medical center holds a special place in Depp’s heart as his daughter Lily-Rose was admitted there for E.coli poisoning in 2007 when she was seven-years-old. The actor revealed on the “Graham Norton Show” last year that his daughter’s kidneys failed after contracting the virus, but doctors at the hospital successfully treated her and she’s made a full recovery. Depp later donated $2 million to show his appreciation, and has been visiting other young patients there ever since.
But it’s not just Great Ormond Street where Depp visits sick kids dressed in character. As Gossip Cop reported in July 2015, while in Australia filming Dead Men Tell No Tales, the actor cheered up ailing children at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane wearing his Pirates Of The Caribbean character’s costume. While at the Australia hospital, Depp as Jack Sparrow talked to sick kids who were too ill to even get out of bed, and also gave them gifts, including gold coins engraved with a pirate’s head.
