John Travolta Not Leaving Scientology

Thanks to a slow news cycle, back come murmurs that John Travolta plans to leave Scientology. Like John Gosselin and Speidi, the rumor just refuses to go away.

The newest speculation is that Travolta’s testimony last week that his late son, Jett, was autistic, represents a step toward parting with Scientology since it does not recognize the disease. Some observers say his admission is “a sure sign” the actor will break with the Church.

Well, Travolta’s spokesperson may have declined to talk with The Daily Beast, but he was happy to set the record straight with Gossip Cop. “There has been no change,” he told us. It’s a “totally false story,” and Travolta has “no plans to leave the Church of Scientology.”

Gossip Cop hopes this curbs chatter about Travolta’s private life for a while. No matter your thoughts on faith, the man has lost a child, endured baseless divorce rumors, and weathered an extortion plot. Let’s leave him be.
