John Stamos Has “Sweet Talk” With Mary-Kate Olsen After Fuller House Drama
John Stamos revealed late Tuesday that he talked with Mary-Kate Olsen following the recent “Fuller House” drama, in which she and her sister claimed they were never notified about the upcoming Netflix spinoff of the ’90s hit show.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, the Olsen twins claimed to Women’s Wear Daily that they were left out of the loop about the new project, leading Stamos to “call bullsh*t” on their comments. In fact, Gossip Cop reached out to a source close to the sequel series who confirmed they had indeed known that the show was in development.
The apparent conflict suggested there may be a feud brewing within the tightknit cast, but now all appears to be well. Stamos wrote on Twitter, “Had a sweet talk with M.K. today!” And, perhaps in reference to the Baltimore riots and other current events, the actor added in his tweet, “There [are] way more important things going in the world today. #Family.”
It’s still not clear, however, why Stamos and the Olsen twins weren’t on the same page. As Gossip Cop reported, the new Netflix series isn’t slated to premiere until 2016. It will center around returning cast members Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber, with Stamos making appearances. The press release announcing the show stated the company was in negotiations with other cast members, including the Olsens and Lori Loughlin, who noted in a recent interview that only half the cast had worked out deals so far.
