John Stamos Thanks Fans For “Love And Support” After DUI Arrest
John Stamos is thanking fans for supporting him in the wake of his DUI arrest.
As Gossip Cop reported, the “Full House” star was stopped by police in Beverly Hills on Friday night after several 911 calls were placed about a swerving vehicle. Stamos was taken by paramedics to a local hospital, where it was determined he was under the influence. He was placed under arrest at the medical facility.
The news prompted his name, as well as his famous character’s name “Uncle Jesse,” to trend on Twitter for hours. As Gossip Cop noted, a number of people made cracks about the situation, while others expressed concern. Now home from the hospital roughly 12 hours later, Stamos is speaking out.
“Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I’m home & well,” he tweeted. The actor added, “Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care.” “BHPD” refers to the Beverly Hills Police Department, while “Cedars” is short for Cedars Sinai hospital.
The incident came as Stamos is in the midst of a career resurgence. He is a producer on the upcoming Netflix “Full House” spinoff, “Fuller House,” and has his own FOX comedy, “Grandfathered,” premiering this fall. Next month, the star will help announce the 2015 Emmy nominees. What do you think of Stamos tweeting after his DUI?
