John Legend “GMA” Video: Watch “Good Morning America” Performance!
John Legend sang “Love Me Now” on Friday’s “Good Morning America.” He also sat down for an interview about his new album Darkness and Light and being in the movie La La Land. Watch the video below!
Much earlier in the morning, Legend was up for a sound-check. The tired singer even shared a photo of himself rehearsing on the “GMA” stage, wearing sunglasses and holding a cup of coffee. He captioned the picture, “Pray for me” and added the hashtags, “#LoveMeNow #DARKNESSANDLIGHT.” Of course, Legend’s appearance on “Good Morning America” coincides with the Friday release of Darkness and Light.
Released in October, “Love Me Now” is the first single off of Legend’s new record. He has already performed the song on TV, most notably on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” and also at the “American Music Awards.” The single reached number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, number 19 on its Adult Top 40 chart, and 16 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The video for “Love Me Now,” which dropped only three weeks ago, has already amassed more than 25 million views. It features a number of couples, young and old, as well as straight and gay, and juxtaposes young children from the U.S. and Northern Iraq. Legend, his wife Chrissy Teigen, and their baby Luna are also seen in the video, which is about expressing one’s love for another.
