John Krasinski and Anna Kendrick were the latest stars to have a “Lip Sync Battle,” facing off on Thursday’s new episode. Check out the videos below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Krasinski’s wife Emily Blunt lost to Anne Hathaway on last week’s edition, giving the actor a chance to redeem the family name now. Going into the showdown, it might’ve seemed like Kendrick would have the edge, given that she’s actual singer and has shown off her performing chops in Pitch Perfect, Into The Woods, and more. But there’s one key fact about Krasinski that can’t be overlooked: He actually STARTED “Lip Sync Battle!”

The former “Office” star was the very first celeb to participate in the bit with Jimmy Fallon on “Late Night” back in 2013. It was nothing short of epic, prompting Fallon to host matchups with other stars on “The Tonight Show.” It all led the late-night host to spin the segment off into it’s own show for Spike with Krasinski as the series’ executive producer. And now, nearly two years after that initial musical mashup, we get Krasinski in a dress, mouthing the words to “Proud Mary” (see photo above). But more on that shortly.

The first round kicked off with Krasinski doing the *NSYNC classic, “Bye, Bye Bye,” complete with all the throwback dance moves straight out of the boy band’s music video. Kendrick then performed One Direction’s “Steal My Girl” as a tribute to Blunt. As a montage of the British actress played on a screen, Kendrick opened her jacket to amusingly reveal she was wearing a shirt that featured a picture of herself with Blunt in a heart.

Of course, neither of those performances compared to what happened in round two. A suit-clad Krasinski took the stage and began lip syncing Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary,” before ripping off the clothes to reveal he had a sparkly silver dress on underneath. And boy could he shimmy! How could Kendrick top that? Well, she had a little help from J.Lo! In the midst of Kendrick’s rap of “Booty,” the superstar’s collaboration with Pitbull, none other than Jennifer Lopez herself walked out.

And since very little beats having J.Lo as your secret weapon, it was no surprise when the audience ultimately voted Kendrick the winner of the battle! And you better believe she took that championship belt with pride. Check out the clips below, and stay tuned for the full videos!
