John Dye, who starred for nine seasons on “Touched By An Angel,” has died.

The actor was 47 years old.

Dye passed away on Monday, reportedly due to heart failure.

“Touched By An Angel” ran from 1994 to 2004, becoming one of the highest-rated series on television. Dye played opposite Roma Downey and Della Reese.

He also appeared on shows including “Murder, She Wrote.”

Dye’s friends Kathy Ireland and Valerie Bertinelli have tweeted their thoughts on his death.
