Back in March, Gossip Cop busted incorrect reports that claimed Joaquin Phoenix was set to play Edgar Allen Poe in an upcoming film.
Rumors of who will play Poe will now be never more…
The role of the macabre writer has been cast.
John Cusack tweeted early this morning that he will star as the infamous poet in a movie called “The Raven.”
“officiali- (sic) will play edgar allen poe in fall-a-film called the raven,” the actor wrote.
He added, “send any poe- gold – my way as i begin this journey into the abyss.”
