Joe Biden’s Son Hunter Kicked Out Of Navy For Cocaine
Hunter Biden was kicked out of the United States Navy for using cocaine. Hunter is the younger son of Vice President Joe Biden and his late first wife Neilia Hunter.
Hunter, 44, joined the Navy Reserve unit in 2013 as an ensign. He was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia as a part-time public affairs officer.
A month after his enlistment, however, Hunter tested positive for cocaine. He was ultimately discharged this past February, according to protocol for failed drug tests.
He says in a statement, “It was the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge.”
“I respect the Navy’s decision. With the love and support of my family, I’m moving forward,” says Hunter, a lawyer who is now working in investment banking.
The Vice President has yet to comment on the news, which was first reported by The Wall Street Journal. Hunter is pictured above with his father at President Obama’s inauguration in 2009.
