Jodie Sweetin’s friend are NOT worried she’s on the verge of a relapse in the wake of her tumultuous split from ex-finace Justin Hodak, despite an inaccurate webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s not true.

The “Fuller House” star and her fiance broke up last month following a series of altercations, including her calling the police after he threatened to commit suicide. Sweetin claimed in court documents that Hodak had been “abusing alcohol and marijuana” at the time, and she subsequently filed a restraining order against him. He’s since been arrested more than once for violating that protective order.

Sweetin herself has been candid about her past struggles with drug addiction, opening up in her 2009 memoir, unSweetined, about her struggle to get sober. The actress is now clean from drugs and alcohol, but RadarOnline is claiming that her friends fear she “may turn to drugs to cope” with her breakup.

The website quotes a supposed “friend” of Sweetin’s as saying, “Jodie has been sober for years now, but everyone around her fears for the worst after this latest upset.” The often unreliable outlet goes on to assert that the actress is “at risk of hitting rock bottom again.”

But Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Sweetin, who exclusively assures us that her friends don’t fear she’s going to fall back into substance abuse. Naturally, the actress’s pals are concerned about her well-being given her past issues, but we’re told they don’t believe she’s headed for a relapse, and the webloid’s claim otherwise is simply not true.
