Joan Rivers Jokes About “Fatso” Christina Aguilera’s Weight on Jimmy Fallon (VIDEO)

(NBC)

Joan Rivers takes no prisoners in her gleefully insulting book “I Hate Everyone… Starting With Me,” and she certainly didn’t back down while promoting it on Monday’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”

The legendary comic joked about Winona Ryder’s past shoplifting — before taking direct aim at Christina Aguilera’s weight.

Rivers recalled an incident with Aguilera after having made fun of her figure on “Fashion Police.”

She told Fallon, “I’m at Spago’s with [daughter] Melissa, and we’re eating dinner, and Fatso is across the way, and she comes lumbering over with that ‘no-neck’ look. And I go, ‘Here it comes.’ She comes over to my table and says, ‘You gonna finish that?’”

Ouch.

I wish that Joan Rivers would retire somewhere. Take her off TV.

I get that she’s a comedian(if you want to call her that), but taking direct shots at someone’s weight is uncalled for. Most comedians don’t even do that. I’ve never had any respect for her as a person.

I don’t get the comedic value in being one of the biggest bullies out there. When we have young people struggling with body issues & who they are as people Joan Rivers needs to pack it up & move on. I doubt she belongs to any ANTI Bullying groups or campaigns & if she does she needs to be held accountable or the group she belongs to needs to be held accountable

  • Nat

I doubt Winona actually called her!

    why ? she’s the best !

Joan is a heartless bitch for taking direct shots at Christina’s weight what’s she want her to have Bullimia like Lynn Redgrave once did

so it’s not okay to get a joke for people’s weight, but it’s okay for racist joke? either way it’s both wrong and she’s not even that funny and in reality she’s just trying to make herself feel better.

  • Whocares1970

While Christina can lose weight, Joan will always be ugly… inside and out.

She comes over to my table and says, ‘You gonna finish that?’”

Rivers hasn’t been funny in years…if ever.

It still amazes me that people would even listen to her about fashion. And that “news” network gives her an hour to spew her hate and negativity.

Joan Rivers will always be a nasty, untalented, troll who hates herself and makes us all suffer because of it.

  • Me

I would say Christina should make a song or a video mocking plastic surgery, but people will probably suddenly suffer from amnesia and she’ll get blasted for attacking “poor ole Joan”

Did you see anything in my comment about racist jokes? No, you didn’t.

Oh shut up, comedy makes fun of everyone. Fat, stupid, gay, straight, black, white, the list goes on. It’s not funny if someone isn’t getting made fun of. Which is more funny
“My soon to be mother in law came, gave us a blessing and a house warming gift”
    OR
“My soon to be mother in law came, I said my house is your house and she kicked me out saying get the hell of my property.”

It’s comedy, any movie, any show you watch.. someone is getting made fun of.

Don’t even tell me to shut up. There is a huge difference in being an actual comedian making jokes & then there’s Joan Rivers. She deliberately takes shots at people because she feels it’s funny, but it’s not. Even the best comedians know when to not say anything.

Um, I think I already did.
Katt Williams – Mostly rips on white people
Lisa Lampanelli – Rips on everyone in any way.
Kathy Griffin – Rips on celebrities.
Sarah Silverman – was deemed a racist, sexist and very controversial in her early years. (still is)
Jimmy Kimmel & Adam Carolla – You remember the Man Show that was a big hit?

These are some, of the many famous comedians out there whose jokes people found and still find rather offensive. Don’t tell me Joan Rivers is different from any comedian out there. Just because someone says something you don’t find funny sometimes, doesn’t mean they aren’t comedians.
