Jimmy Kimmel Announced as Emmys Host

Jimmy Kimmel has been named Emmys host.

ABC’s late-night TV star will preside over the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards when the network broadcasts the ceremony on September 23, it was announced early Monday.

It’s his first time as host.

Jane Lynch served in the role last year.

    good luck to him personally the last time I watched was in 2005 when Paul Newman won best supporting actor in a mini series or motion picture made for television for Empire Falls I almost cried during his acceptence Speach because of the praise he gave his wife of 47 years at the time Joanne Woodward who was nominated in the equivalent catagory for actresses for work in the same film but lost to Jane Alexander and when the camera panned to her in the audience she clapped the loudest though was a bit embarressed because she’s a modest woman and the same happened at the golden globes in January 2006 and also the awards also in January of 06 happening to fall on their 48th wedding Anniversary
