Jimmy Kimmel on Jay Leno: “F**k Him”

Like Howard Stern, Jimmy Kimmel is not the biggest fan of Jay Leno.

Asked about the “Tonight Show” host during a media panel in New York City on Monday night, Kimmel simply replied, “F**k him.”

The “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host, who’s now set to face off against Leno and David Letterman when his show moves to the 11:35 time slot on ABC this January, went on to say that the friendship he once had with Leno was “fake.”

Kimmel added the “most fun” he’s ever had on his show was when he famously impersonated Leno in 2010, right after Leno had wrestled the “Tonight Show” away from Conan O’Brien.

He also said that his “proudest moment” was when he used an appearance on Leno’s short-lived prime-time show the following night to throw the Conan incident in his face.

When Leno asked Kimmel during that interview what was the best prank he ever pulled, Kimmel responded, “I think the best prank I ever pulled was I told a guy that five years from now I’m going to give you my show, and then when the five years came, I gave it to him and then I took it back almost instantly!”

Kimmel concluded at the New York panel, “People, it turns out, really don’t like Jay Leno.”

    I hope Kimmel beats Jay in the ratings. Leno can have the senior citizens while Jimmy will probably get the coveted 20 to 50 yr old age group. Someone needs to take Leno and NBC down and jimmy is the guy to do it.

    They can move Kimmel to any time slot and he will still have low ratings. I would watch Conan before Kimmel and Fallon before Conan

    I’m confused. I thought Conan said to NBC “Give me the Tonight Show or I’m out of here.” NBC caved and said, “OK in 5 years.” So didn’t Conan force Leno out?
    Then I heard that Leno wanted to go on the road and NBC wouldn’t let him out of his contract. So NBC caved and gave him the time slot right before the Tonight Show.
    When Conan started to tank in the rating the NBC affliates said, “We won’t carry the Tonight Show with Conan.” And NBC caved again.
    Has anyone else heard this stuff?

    I will watch anyone over Jay Leno. Actually both Leno and Letterman are dinosaurs. They’re both more in love with the sound of their own voices than they are interested in anything their guests have to say. I’ll take Kimmel, Fallon or Craig Ferguson over either of them any day of the week.

    i don’t really follow late night hosts unless they’re interviewing someone i really like but this is like the second or third time that it’s been stated how Leno is hated. A friendship was fake? uh ok. why do people hate leno? with stern it sounded like he was bagging on him for taking a paycut so others wouldn’t be. isn’t that a really good thing? what’s the deal with the hate?

    I’m not a Leno fan but I’d definitely watch him before the annoying Jimmy Kimmel. Sounds like Kimmel is just trying to get some free press to cash in on for his show. What a loser.

    Leno is a class act. He halved his salary to not lay off any staff. Kimmel is a total ass waht has he. WTF he was upset about Conan? Jesus the walked away with millions !! When I tried watching Conan at TBS he is not funny. His TBS show is in the tank. Conan took out the Latino George Lopez I don’t see Kimmel in a tither about that! Kimmel when I have watched him has a show alot like Leno. The reason Jay is number one is because when you watch him the guests get to talk he does not throw his opinions on them. The music at the end of Leno is absolutely fabulous. When Jay retires for good Jimmy Fallon will take his slot. Fallon and Leno are a llgreat lineup. I adore Jimmy he is much funnier than Kimmel. Kimmel is an ill ltempered brat. He personifies stupid white male.
