VIDEO: Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Other Famous Boston Stars Take “Deflate-Gate” Blame On Jimmy Kimmel Live
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” tried to get to the bottom of Deflate-gate on Thursday, and a number of famous Boston-bred celebrities came forward to claim responsibility so that Tom Brady and Bill Belichick won’t be blamed for the controversy surrounding the New England Patriots days before the Super Bowl. Watch the video below.
Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, John Krasinski, Chris Evans, Steven Tyler and other notables all assumed Boston-y alter egos, each pretending to be the real person behind the deflated balls scandal. They all had very good reasons for why they decided to let air out of the balls during the AFC Championship Game. They all seemed very eager to defend Brady’s honor, especially given how “awesome” he is, with “piercing blue eyes.”
In case you were wondering whether Kimmel would manage to get in a shot at Damon, with whom he’s famously (and jokingly) feuded for years, wait until the very end of the clip. As for the Super Bowl itself, including Katy Perry’s halftime show and Idina Menzel’s national anthem, visit Gossip Cop for full coverage on Sunday.
