Jimmy Kimmel: “Boss Baby” Will Be Daughter’s First Movie (VIDEO)
Jimmy Kimmel is ready to take his daughter to her first movie, and it’s going to be his own film, The Boss Baby. Watch below!
The Boss Baby, which opens on Friday, is about a baby who doubles as a secret agent in a war against puppies. Alec Baldwin voices the title role, with Kimmel providing voice-over for the infant’s dad. In an interview broadcast on Friday’s “GMA,” the late-night host was sure to clarify, “Not in real life, but in this movie I’m his father.”
In real life, he’s dad to Jane, who will turn 3 this summer. “The Boss Baby is a book that I would read to my daughter and they expanded it for this movie. It’s really very cute,” Kimmel said, going on to reveal, “I’m planning to take my daughter. She’s never been to the movies before.”
“And I don’t know if it’s a good idea to put her in the theater to listen to dad’s voice coming out of a cartoon character, or it will scar her forever,” the TV personality confessed. He explained, “She knows that I’m on television. She doesn’t quite know what to make of it, especially with cameras now. You kinda think everyone’s television.”
Kimmel even noted, “We were driving by a billboard when Jimmy Fallon was hosting the Golden Globes, and she pointed at him and goes, ‘He’s like daddy.'” He also acknowledged his baby is indeed the boss of the house. “She wakes up in the morning and she sets the tone for the day. You can tell immediately whether there’s going to be a good day or a bad day. Today was not a good one, by the way.”
