Jimmy Fallon Tells Jiminy Glick To “Shut The F*ck Up” During Physical Fight (VIDEO)
Jimmy Fallon sat down for an interview on Monday with Jiminy Glick, Martin Short’s fictitious TV interviewer character who, despite his many years in the entertainment industry, knows very little about stars. The portly Glick began the interview with Fallon by saying, “So exciting to be talking to you because usually I talk to celebrities… This is a nice change of pace.” Ultimately, the two ended up in a physical and expletive-laden verbal fight (video below).
Glick kicked off the interview by asking Fallon about his upbringing, and interjected that based on the “Tonight Show” host’s grammar, he could tell Fallon had a “limited education.” The ill-informed interviewer next stated, “You got this job at the ‘Tonight Show,’ and then you say to ‘American Idol,’ ‘I’m not going to do it anymore.’ Could you have not done both?” Fallon explained to Glick that he was not Ryan Seacrest, causing the interviewer to acknowledge, “I’m not prepared for this then.”
That exchange was followed by Jiminy Glick asking Fallon why he “thought it was too soon for a woman to be president” and how he came up with the “Saturday Night Live” character called, “Giggling Boy In The Background Guy.”
After Glick notes he used to be heavy, and that he’s “been on Jenny Craig more than Mr. Craig,” he starts stuffing down donuts until he chokes and Fallon has to give him the Heimlich Maneuver. He then goes back to his off-base line of questioning, asking whether frequent guest and Fallon pal Justin Timberlake is actually the “Tonight Show” host’s “lover,” adding, “Admit in on national television… top or bottom?”
The two men then get into a fight when Glick says he had thought the interview was with Jimmy Kimmel. Fallon tells him to “shut the f*ck up,” and it becomes physical. Still, Glick ends the interview by saying how much he enjoyed “talking to the wonderful Jimmy,” adding “Fallon,” having received some prompting by the “Tonight Show” host himself.
