Jimmy Fallon And The Roots Accept ALS “Ice Bucket Challenge” — WATCH VIDEO!
Jimmy Fallon, Steve Higgins, and The Roots accepted Justin Timberlake’s “Ice Bucket Challenge” on Tuesday’s “Tonight Show,” and dumped freezing cold water over their heads to raise awareness for ALS.
Fallon was chatting with his guest Rob Riggle, when he asked the actor if had heard about the “Ice Bucket Challenge.” Riggle admitted that he was just challenged, and he is going to accept the nomination. “I was challenged by the Daily News,” Fallon explained. “I was challenged by Governor Chris Christie. I was challenged by New York Jets owner Woody Johnson today.” Riggle interjected, “You’ve been called out by everybody.” Fallon admitted that he was also challenged by Timberlake.
As Gossip Cop reported on Monday, Timberlake and his back-up band The Tennessee Kids doused themselves with ice water before challenging the “Tonight Show” group. Fallon and crew were given the option by Timberlake of donating $100 to the charity or pouring ice water over themselves, and like the singer, they did BOTH. Fallon, his crew, Riggle and “SNL” alum Horatio Sanz all dumped the icy water over their heads during the show.
Elizabeth Banks, Jennifer Morrison, Lance Bass, and JoAnna Garcia filmed their freezing moments for the charitable cause. After enduring the freezing bucketful of water, Fallon next challenged the New York Jets.
