Jimmy Fallon Drinking Claim Is Late And Wrong
Jimmy Fallon’s drinking is NOT out of control, despite yet another inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”
“Fallon Off The Wagon?” reads a headline in this week’s Star, which claims the “Tonight Show” host was “boozing heavily” in the early hours of September 27 following the first debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. A so-called “source” tells the outlet, “He was very drunk, dancing, cutting up and making people laugh” in the legendary New York bar Manitoba’s until 3 a.m. when he eventually made a “noisy exit.” “He left alone and people recognized him,” contends the publication’s supposed insider, adding, “He was like, ‘Hugs for everyone!'” but refused a fan who asked for a selfie.
The magazine goes on to allege Fallon’s drinking habits have been causing him trouble for some time. “His bosses at NBC have put their feet down, and told Jimmy to put down the bottle,” claims the tabloid’s source, adding, “His reputation is taking a pounding the longer he continues his partying.”
The tabloid’s article, however, is highly exaggerated. Fallon’s drinking is not out of control, nor are his bosses at NBC concerned about him supposedly partying. A source close to Fallon assured Gossip Cop when we initially busted this inaccurate claim that the report was “completely false.” Now this baseless rehash by Star is simply late and wrong.
