Jimmy Fallon And Amy Adams Play ‘Box Of Microphones’ On ‘Tonight Show’ (VIDEO)
The game was similar to karaoke but with a hilarious twist. Fallon said to his guest, “Amy, everyone knows you’re a great actress, but you’re also a great singer. So I’d like to play a brand-new game with you.” The TV personality explained, “We’ll take turns drawing a card from this stack of random song titles, but before we sing them, we have to pick a microphone from the Box Of Microphones.”
The catch: “Each one has a different vocal effect on it,” Fallon revealed. “So it could make us sound like the Chipmunks or robots or — we have no idea until we start singing.” Adams had the honor of going first, and ended up doing Rihanna’s “Work” in an extremely deep voice. Fallon’s track was Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” but we won’t spoil how that went down.
But after he finished, a random sound played. The host announced, “It’s time for the Double Change, Double Sing Duet!” He explained, “Now in this round, we sing the same song, but the audio booth is going to keep changing the vocal effect so we don’t know — every line is going to be different. We don’t know what it’s going to be.”
The two were tasked with “You’re The One That I Want” From Grease, and the vocal styles ranged from the Chipmunks to auto-tune. By the end, Adams was in hysterics as Fallon had to his normal outro still with his high-pitched Chipmunk voice. Check out the full video below!
