Jimi Jamison, Lead Singer of Survivor, Dies at 63
Jimi Jamison, the former lead singer of the bands Survivor and Cobra, has died of a heart attack.
He was 63.
Jamison became Survivor’s frontman following their smash hit “Eye of the Tiger,” helping to propel the band to additional successes like “Is This Love?” and “Burning Heart” from Rocky IV.
He also co-wrote and performed “I’m Always Here,” better known as the theme song for “Baywatch.”
Before his Survivor stint, Jamison sang with acts like ZZ Top and Joe Walsh, and was the lead vocalist for Cobra.
