Jim Parsons: I’m “NOT Engaged, National Enquirer Makes Sh*t Up”
“Finally! Big Bang’s Jim Parsons Proposes To Boyfriend Todd,” reads the headline of fabricated National Enquirer story that claims Parsons asked his boyfriend of 12 years, Todd Spiewak, to marry him out of fear of losing him.
This week the tabloid reported Spiewak “wanted to get married for a long time now,” and felt like they were just “treading water in their relationship.”
A so-called “friend” — referencing the “Big Bang Theory” star’s recent pay raise — is quoted as saying, “Jim has kept telling him he wanted to make sure he was settled and secure before he took on such a major change, but Todd shot back, ‘You’re going to be making more than $20 million a year now, how set do you need to be?'”
The mag’s supposed “insider” claims Parsons is “scared of change. But he finally told Todd, ”The thought of losing you is scarier than anything I can imagine,’ and he asked Todd to marry him!”
How romantic — and wrong!
Parsons took to his Instagram account to share an old photo (see below), along with the message, “Me and Todd in 2003. Still very happy today… And NOT engaged! #justFYI #NationalEnquirerMakesSh*tUp #duh.” We couldn’t have said it better.
