Jim Carrey’s Friends Do NOT Fear He’ll Commit Suicide, Despite Report
Jim Carrey’s friends do NOT fear he could commit suicide over the lawsuits involving the death of his late girlfriend, Cathriona White, despite a tasteless and false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Carrey is being sued for White’s wrongful death by her mom, Brigid Sweetman, as well as her estranged husband, Mark Burton. The two plaintiffs, who filed separate lawsuits, allege the comedian provided White with the prescription drugs she used to kill herself. The two also claim Carrey knowingly gave White several STDs, lied about it and then dumped her shortly thereafter. As a result of the turmoil, the National Enquirer is now claiming those close to the actor worry he’ll take his own life.
A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Jim has already been on the brink of despair over Cat’s death, and this suit could push him over it.” Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a reliable source close to Carrey, who exclusively assures us no one in his close circle has suicide fears. Although the actor is undoubtedly upset about the death of his former girlfriend and the accusations being made against him, he’s dealing with the situation as best he can and his friends aren’t worried he’ll hurt himself. We’re told the tabloid’s claim otherwise is simply “not true.”
