Jim Carrey Prescriptions Found At Girlfriend’s Suicide, Actor Supporting Cathriona White’s Family Financially
New details are emerging about the apparent suicide of Jim Carrey’s girlfriend.
As Gossip Cop reported, Cathriona White was found dead at her California home on Monday night. Pill bottles found at the scene, as well as a note referring to an alleged breakup with Carey, have led investigators to believe White took her own life. An official cause of death is still pending until toxicology results are in.
Now a new report claims the pill bottles were prescribed to an alias used by Carrey. Many celebrities use alternate names in different situations for privacy reasons. It’s unclear, though, how or why White would have come to possess medications that were prescribed to Carrey, which, according to TMZ, were Propranolol, Ambien, and Percocet.
All were prescribed by the same doctor, says the site, and now investigators want to interview Carrey in hopes of finding out more information. Meanwhile, the actor is said to be “devastated” over White’s death. They were seemingly still a couple, based on social media, as recently as just two weeks ago.
TMZ further reports that Carrey has been supporting White’s family financially. He reportedly paid for relatives to travel from her native Ireland to the U.S., and is paying for their hotel accommodations. And while funeral plans have not yet been finalized, Carrey has offered to pick up the tab for that, too. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.
