Jim Carrey Mocks Matthew McConaughey Lincoln Ad On SNL (VIDEO)
Jim Carrey mocked Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln ad perfectly in a spoof commercial on “SNL.” Looking and sounding very much like McConaughey, Carrey says “sometimes you have to go back to move forward,” even taking a big step back like “winning an Oscar to doing a car commercial.”
Carrey, while driving like McConaughey, relates how his agent said, “I could understand if you did this right after The Lincoln Lawyer. That would make sense.” But then he adds “you don’t buy a Lincoln because it makes sense, you buy it because you love it or your an Uber driver.” The comedic actor also mimicked how McConaughey rubs his fingers together in the ad, and notes that he’s going to “throw this booger out of the window. Feels good, like a tiny little tennis ball.”
There were then other mock McConaughey Lincoln ads that were shown through “SNL.”
McConaughey’s Lincoln ad has been mocked before. Last month, Ellen DeGeneres did a bit on her talk show in which she said she “cut out” from McConaughey’s Lincoln commercial, and then showed the version with her in it, sitting in the back seat, enjoying some special brownies and making terrible puns. She also wondered what, exactly, McConaughey keeps doing with his fingers.
