Jessica Simpson Wedding Delay Claim is Big Fat Lie

“Jessica Simpson and hubby-to-be Eric Johnson are dropping their wedding plans – until they both drop some weight!” announces the National Enquirer, the same publication that claimed Simpson was pregnant seven months ago.
(So that “baby” should be coming soon, right?)
The Enquirer now quotes an “insider” who says the couple has pushed back plans for an early summer wedding “so they both have a chance to shed extra pounds.”
And while in February the tabloid wrongly claimed Johnson gave Simpson an “ultimatum” that she lose weight or he’d cancel the nuptials, this new story reverses the circumstances.
“The issue now is Eric,” says the Enquirer “source” about Johnson’s supposedly growing waistline.
All of this would be more interesting, of course, if Simpson and Johnson had set a specific date.
They didn’t “push back” any wedding date because, as a source close to the couple tells Gossip Cop, “[Jessica's] between a few different dates.”
Oops.
Someone should ask the Enquirer why Simpson’s fictional “due date” was “delayed.”
