Eric Johnson Nicknamed “Jackpot” Because Jessica Simpson Pays The Bills?

“Eric Johnson doesn’t have to go to Vegas; he’s already hit the jackpot as the fiancé of pregnant Jessica Simpson,” declares Star.

In fact, says the magazine, “Jessica’s friends and family have nicknamed [him] ‘Jackpot Johnson’ behind his back.”

“Eric loves the nickname, even though it started off as a dig because Jessica pays all the bills,” a so-called “insider” tells Star. “Now he even has a bowling shirt that has Jackpot Johnson embroidered on it.”

Seriously?

NO.

It turns out the same publication that wrongly claimed Simpson was furious with Johnson for checking out her sister Ashlee — and falsely alleged that he cheated on his fiancee with his ex-wife — still has absolutely no clue what’s actually going on with them.

A source close to the couple tells Gossip Cop the “Jackpot” story is NOT true.
