Jessica Simpson May Be Pregnant Again?
“There’s a good reason Jessica Simpson can’t lose the excess baby weight… She may be pregnant again!” declares Star magazine. The tabloid, which has been hounding Simpson with bogus stories all summer, is still trying desperately to look like it has a clue when it comes to the “Fashion Star” personality… and failing miserably.
In its new report, Star first disses Simpson’s post-baby body, writing that three months after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew, “Jessica’s figure looks nowhere near its old form.” Nice.
Ah, but there’s a reason Simpson might be having trouble shedding those pounds, explains Star: “Sources say she may be expecting again!” The mag quotes doctors who have nothing to do with Simpson as saying that women can sometimes become pregnant right after giving birth. Again, the experts are saying that it’s possible for women — in general — to conceive in their postpartum period. None of them has actually met with Simpson. Star then suggests that because Simpson’s fashion company is launching a line of maternity wear, “It seems getting pregnant makes a lot more financial sense for Jessica right now than getting skinny.” Uh-huh.
The tabloid, which knows its story is totally bogus, tries to cover itself with the lame cop-out that Simpson and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, are not likely to announce a possibly pregnancy in the near future because, if she’s expecting, she’s still in the first trimester. ENOUGH. Simpson is NOT pregnant again, period. A source close to the star laughed off Star’s newest stab at reporting, calling it “not true.”
