Jessica Simpson Launches Maternity Clothing Line (PHOTOS)

Jessica Simpson just gave birth, and now she’s applying her pregnancy experience to a new fashion venture.

The style mogul has announced plans for a new maternity clothing line — Jessica Simpson Maternity — to debut in stores this fall.

According to her press release, the collection is “full of breezy, everyday pieces” and “aimed at the modern mom-to-be who wants to maintain her fashion edge throughout her pregnancy.”

The line represents a partnership with maternity apparel retailer Destination Maternity, which will carry the outfits along with Motherhood Maternity and Macy’s.

“I’m so excited to partner with Destination Maternity to design a collection of fashionable styles that make you look and feel great!” says Simpson.

She explains, “You want to wear clothes that are flattering to your baby bump; you want to show your bump off.”

Features will include vintage print tops, flowing maxis and form-fitting jersey knit dresses, along with “chunky relaxed sweaters.”

    you’ve got to admit Jessica is a savy business woman and knows that there’s a nitche for comfortable/afordable/stylish maternity clothing women have complained about the lack of it for years yes even celebrities Mariah Carey said it when she was pregnant with her twins last year that the maternity clothes available suck and were uncomfortable so she resorted to jogging pants/pajama bottoms & over sized mens cotton T-shirts because those were the only things she was comfortable in around the house where she was confined for much of the pregnancy due to life threatenning complications which caused the twins to be born by c-section 5 weeks premature. thankfully Jessica didn’t have the medical issues with pregnancy that Mariah did so her baby girl wasn’t premature and didn’t have to spend time in the nicu

    What’s terrible about those cute maternity outfits which is badly needed? I wish they were back when I was having kids. They are selling from $39 to $59 dollars. I would love to see what else she has. Her things are really cute. There are many women waiting for her to come out with this. I hope that you are not hating. There is no reason to do that. Let’s make this a better world to live in.

    Maternity clothing will continue to change. You need to find the line, the style and the fit that makes you feel best. Just like all other clothing shopping, it can be frustrating. You may not feel like you will ever find something you are happy with, but if you give it some time, take some advice and visit the proper clothing stores and outlets you are sure to find something that makes you feel good about you. Maternity clothing is just as stylish as other outfits and you don’t have to look pregnant to be pregnant.
