Busting bad dish!

CLAIM: Jessica Simpson Using $3,784-Per-Day Maternity Suite at Hospital

Truth rating: 0

(HollywoodLife)

Habitually wrong webloid HollywoodLife claims to have a big “exclusive” about the birth of Jessica Simpson’s baby.

The site reports that Maxwell Drew Johnson was born in a $3,784-per-day deluxe maternity suite at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

“This little girl hasn’t even been on Earth for 24 hours and she’s already living like royalty!” proclaims HollywoodLife, which says it “confirmed” that Simpson had secured a three-bedroom suite with salon services, a “mother’s assistant” and full-size bathtubs.

The webloid shrieks, “Jessica Simpson definitely beats Beyonce for having the most blinged out birthing suite!”

We had no idea there was a competition.

HollywoodLife even provides photos (like the one below) of the suite and its “luxurious amenities,” which the site claims to have “confirmed.”

Except Simpson is not using this suite.

A source close to Simpson laughed at the report and told Gossip Cop, “No, that’s insane.”

Looks like another so-called “exclusive” is just another big miss for HollywoodLife.

I’m sure she has a very nice room, but that’s not like her to go crazy like HollywoodLife is saying. Yeah, she’s rich, but still a down to earth southern girl.

I believe TMZ started this story with an exclusive & Hollywood jumped on it after that.. what ever one is as bad as the other.. Everyone is trying for scoop & there own spin.. I suspect Gossip Cop is going to be very busy for a few days with this baby story.. Good luck.. :)

who cares her health insurance will be paying for it if she had a vaginal delivery then she’ll be in the hospital for about 60hrs while if it was a c-section at least 72 for the vaginal delivery stay that would be about 9,500 while the c-sec stay would be at least 11,400 as compaired to Mariah Carey’s 2 week stay at UCLA Ronald Reagan in Santa Monica when her twins were born last April 5 weeks premature due to life threatenning complications she rented 7 rooms at about 600.00 a night for those two weeks to the tune of 58,800 dollars. but there were also complications after delivery including an infection and the twins being on breathing tubes because their lungs were still immature though they weighed over 6lbs each

Even if this story were true, I don’t see the problem. The suite is there and is available for use, so if you can afford it, which I am sure she can, why not. It’s not like she kicked anyone out of other rooms or made a fuss with security (or at least it does not say so), so big deal.

When I had my baby I had a Mother’s assistant-its called a NURSE! And all of the birthing suites had flat screen TVs, built in stereo systems, and a full size deep whirlpool bath.also.24 hour room service. These days birthing suites are pretty luxurious, even for regular folks!

The news was actually airing this story as well. But even if she did, who cares. She has the money & those suites are there for a reason. At least she’s not taking over an entire hospital floor for the birth of her baby. She has good insurance & can afford to stay in a nice room, I would too if I had that kind of money.

I bet it was still cheaper than flying a medical team half way around the world and shutting down an entire African country. After which you turned the President of that country into your spokesperson and used government officials to prevent journalists from entering the country unless they were being driven straight to your daily press conferences while you were awaiting the birth of your child. $4000 seems like nothing compared to what some celebrities have been known to spend.

Who cares how much she is paying. She wants to be comfortable and has a big loving family. So they might as well be comfortable when they visit. When you are worth 10s of millions or more, $4000 or so is not really that much money in the scheme of things. .

Yeah well really thats not that bad. I just looked up how much my hospital bill was from giving birth in February this year and just my hospital part was 13 grand for 4 days so its a little over 3 grand a day. Thats not counting paying the anesthesiologist (csect), doctor, or my sons hospital bills or pediatrician. So really if she got that suite for that much shes lucky because I paid that much (or my insurance) for a plain old birthing room here in rural Oklahoma.

If I had her money I would have gone this route. I have no problem with her spending the money she has earned.

I wasn’t in a maternity ward and my hospital bill came to a total of over $16,000.00 for just 2 days. With all the machines they had to use and tests they had to run on me, I think she came out pretty moderate. If I had it to do over, I would save that amount of money to have my babies. I think it’s worth the saving because hubby can be there + close relatives from out-of-town. That’s well worth the money.

Wow, that’s pretty crazy. But I guess they have the money to spend anyway.. The life of the rich and the famous.. Just how it is…
