CLAIM: Jessica Simpson’s Dad “Begs” Her to Ditch Eric Johnson

Jessica Simpson‘s father is begging her not to marry Eric Johnson, says In Touch, which further claims Joe Simpson “fears his little girl is rushing into another bad marriage.”

According to the mag, Johnson’s “unemployed status” is “causing some major concern” for the Simpson patriarch, so much so that he’s “pressuring Jess to call off the wedding completely!”

The tab quotes a “source” as saying, “It bothers Joe that Jessica is paying for everything and that Eric doesn’t really have a job.” The source adds, Papa Simpson “thinks Jessica can do much better.”

Meanwhile, the singer/actress is “trapped in the middle,” and “upset” that her dad “no longer approves of Eric.”

That’s funny, because a rep for the “Irresistible” singer tells Gossip Cop that Joe Simpson “loves” Johnson, and the two actually just went on a golf trip two weeks ago to Scotland.

Once again, In Touch is out of touch.

    I don’t understand why Tabs are hell bent on not letting Jessica be happy. Everything has been tried to split this couple up. Eric seems to be a very strong man & knows what he wants. Most men would have bailed with all the crap they have said about ERIC too.

    I think that it is awful as to what In Touch is calling Eric. They are using this lie to call this wonder seemly man that terrible name. I hope this is investigated and put a stop to it right now because enough is enough. Whoever that editor is, he/she should be FIRED. They did not have to be so harsh, especially when we know better. If that editor is getting this from somebody else, then they should turn those people over to the parties involved for a lawsuit. There should not be so much hate in this trying world of today. That man hasn’t done one single thing to, I bet, that hateful person. Whoever it is has been on his back since becoming involved with Jess at In Touch. I think it time for a lawsuit. Any sane person who even put out such evil stuff should know by now that enough is enough. I am sick of In Touch messing with this man. A good story doesn’t have to put people down, lie and show hatred. What kind of people work at In Touch, lunaticks/possessed with devils?.

    The editor lied. They should have investigated the truth. Joe is very fond of Eric and there are pics and everything to prove it before this ridiculous shit came out. Seagull, evidently your ass is not a real man. You don’t know anything about this man and the 1st place Joe did not say that. There is proof. You and the tabs just want to start hell.
