Jessica Simpson recently had a drunken “meltdown” at the Los Angeles nightclub Eden, reports Star magazine.

According to an alleged “source” for the magazine, Simpson “whined about her struggle to lose weight and her lack of friends – and drowned her sorrows in vodka and champagne!”

The mag goes on to claim that Simpson, who’s pictured in the tabloid’s story hanging out with fiance Eric Johnson and some female friends, was supposedly feeling so “lonely” that she “begged Paris Hilton to hang out with her.”

“Jessica has isolated herself with Eric much of the time over the last year, and it cost her a lot of friends,” says another so-called “source,” who adds, “Whenever Eric is busy, Jessica’s world seems a lonely place to live in.”

Actually, the happily engaged singer and fashion mogul is anything but lonely.

A source close to Simpson calls the tab’s story “ridiculous,” saying, “She had a great night with a group of friends!”
