CONFIRMED: Jessica Simpson Has Another Football Boyfriend

After debunking so many wrong rumors about Jessica Simpson, we’re pleased to verify some nice news.

Simpson is indeed dating former NFL tight end Eric Johnson, a source close to the star confirms to Gossip Cop.

Johnson split from his wife earlier this year. He’s had stints with the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints.

The rock solid (cough) Simpson dating forecasters at In Touch are strangely silent on the matter, as is Perez Hilton.

I hope the tabloids and Perez will leave her alone this time. It’s a shame of what the tabs and Perez have done to her. I wish her nothing but the best.. She has been trying very hard to stay on the down low & being a fine job of it. Hopefully that can continue. What a great BD present for Jess this year. It’s been a very difficult year for her with the personal attacks & hate & one would hope that people just back off & let her enjoy her life.. Jessica is a wonderful girl with a very warm & giving heart & much patience.
