Jessica Simpson to Star in NBC Comedy Pilot Based on Her Life

Jessica Simpson is returning to acting!

The “Fashion Star” mentor is set to star in a new NBC comedy pilot inspired by her life.

Simpson said in a statement on Tuesday, “I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life — so between the real life elements and a great team of writers, I think we’ll have people laughing!”

She will also executive produce the untitled project, along with her dad and manager Joe Simpson.

Simspson has truly done it all.

She has gone from singing to starring in movies such as The Dukes of Hazzard and Employee of the Month; has created a billion-dollar fashion empire; and has been part of two successful reality TV shows.

And, she’ll soon be a mom of two.
