Jessica Simpson “Betrayed” By Eric Johnson?
1:56 pm, December 8th, 2010
“Jessica Betrayed!” screams an In Touch cover story about Jessica Simpson.
Among the discoveries about fiance Eric Johnson‘s “secret past” the tab claims to have unearthed are that the former NFL player had a “fling with a cheerleader,” and that he “studied books to snag a rich woman.”
We’ll get to those in a moment.
First, according to In Touch‘s cover story, Simpson “recently put [Johnson] on her payroll, giving him a title and salary – but without any real responsibility.”
“More disturbing still,” writes In Touch, “Jessica may be about to make the worst business decision of her life: no prenuptial agreement.”
The tab says that even though her dad, Joe, is “demanding” she get a prenup, Simpson is “refusing to listen.”
Time for Gossip Cop…
A source close to the couple confirms to us that Johnson is “NOT being paid by Jessica,” and “there will be a prenup” before the two wed.
But what about those allegations that he “studied books to snag a rich woman”?
Allegedly, and it’s not even confirmed, while Johnson was in college he read the book, “Smart Women Finish Rich,” a book that has absolutely nothing to do with snagging a rich woman, and everything to do with money management.
And as for the “fling with a cheerleader,” it’s a claim made by his ex-wife about an indiscretion Johnson may have had - as even In Touch notes – “back in high school.”
Seriously? Simpson feels “betrayed” because her fiance may have kissed another girl back in high school or read a book on financial planning?
Once again, the only ones “betrayed” are In Touch‘s readers.
