TAB: Jessica Simpson Threatens to Ban ‘Out of Control’ Dad Joe From Seeing Baby

Jessica Simpson has given an “ultimatum” to her father Joe, reports OK!, which claims the new mom has ordered her dad to “clean up his act” or he’s banned from seeing his granddaughter.

According to the mag, “Joe has been behaving badly for years, but things seem to have come to a head since the birth of Jessica’s daughter, Maxwell, in May.”

A supposed “longtime family insider” says, “It’s gotten out of control; he’s just getting worse and worse.”

So what exactly does this bad behavior consist of?

OK! notes that Joe was arrested on suspicion of DUI in August, and adds that his marriage to Tina Simpson is “on the rocks.”

The tab’s so-called “source” goes on to claim that Ashlee Simpson, who’s mom to three-year-old Bronx, is also on board with Jessica’s “plan,” and even her ex-husband Pete Wentz and Jessica’s fiancé Eric Johnson have “laid down the law” with Joe.

“Everyone is really worried about him,” explains the alleged insider, adding, “They feel he has a small window to fix himself and get on the right track or else they want to revoke his grandpa rights both to Maxwell and Bronx.”

Hold up.

Ashlee Simpson just hung out with her dad at an event in Las Vegas on September 8 (photo below), so it’s unlikely she’s having trouble with her dad either.

Of course Joe’s alleged drunk driving incident is a serious matter, but the family is completely supporting him — not shunning him because of it.

In any case, a Simpson insider tells Gossip Cop the tab’s story is “absurd,” and that the singer never gave her dad any such “ultimatum.”

    oh please the tabs are lying again unless Joe did something really stupid that put either Bronx or Maxwell in danger Jessica and Ashlee wouldn’t have grounds to revoke his right to see them. children need their grandparnets just as they do their parents. look at this recent photo of Joanne Wooedward with her daughter Melissa & grandson Henry after Melissa sang at the Dressing Room which is the organic reasturant Paul owned in the last years of his life [IMG]http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/yy10/chloefan5804/woodwardgrandsonpix09071201pop.jpg[/IMG] you could see how happy the three of them were to be together the family has always been close but has grown closer since Paul passed 4 years ago

    Not every state have grandparents rights. Kids only need their parents. Yes having grandparents can be a great thing. But kids don’t have to have a relationship with their grandparents.
    If this is true. Ashlee and Jessica don’t have to have reasons to not allow Joe around the kids. Jess and Ash are the parents.
