OK! Mag’s Jessica Simpson “Baby” Cover is Absurd

OK! has gone baby crazy.

The same publication that once claimed Tom Cruise was set to pay Katie Holmes $75 million for a second child and (wrongly) insisted… and insisted … and insisted that Jennifer Aniston was set to become a mom is back with more baby blather.

According to OK!‘s cover, a baby for Jessica Simpson has been “confirmed.” “Finally, A Baby For Jess” screams both the cover and the story’s headline.

So what makes the tabloid’s crack team of obstetricians — consistently wrong in the past — convinced that Simpson is expecting?

The actress showed off a “fuller-figured look” at a “July 4″ Greenbrier Casino Club gala, observes the magazine, which can’t even get the event’s date right (it was July 2).

OK! cites a doctor (who hasn’t treated Simpson) as saying that her tummy and facial features are typical of a woman “in her 10th to 12th week of pregnancy.”

Just in case that airtight argument falls through, OK! also points out that Simpson has a new boyfriend, Eric Johnson, whom a “source” calls “husband and father material.”

Plus, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz told Redbook last October that her big sister wants a baby.

Still unconvinced?

She’s working out and dieting regularly (which, as everyone knows, never happens unless the goal is pregnancy) and has “thrown herself into expanding her booming fashion empire” (which, as everyone knows, is what women do during the first trimester).

OK! explains that Simpson is doing more design work because it allows her to stay home.

Apparently, it never occurs to the magazine that she just likes designing.

Of course, it also never occurs to OK! that someone might actually check to see whether Simpson is expecting a baby.

Gossip Cop did — and she’s not. A rep for Simpson tells us the story is “absurd and not true at all.”

The only thing OK!‘s cover “confirmed” is the tab’s laughable track record.

    Jessica Simpson almost sued this tab for the lies before. I was wondering what happened. They should have been sued long ago. I have said it before that a woman might have a bump at anytime. They know that. I see men with them.That person who wrote that might have one. Something got to be done about these tabloids, they are getting too ridiculous. And the fact is that they can show their behinds when it comes to her. Tabloids are a road to hell. Those writers should repent before it’s too late because this world will not last. Watch. Too much craziness and hate provoking.

    Don’t we all see a pattern here with the tabloids? It’s laughable. They just make crap up to fit there own senario of the message they want to send out. A so called source is some poster off a message board that thinks like them.. IT’s rediculous.

    I can’t put my finger on it, BUT – her face does look different to me….And I am not saying this to be cruel, I love her to pieces, she just LOOKS different somehow and it’s driving me crazy because I can’t figure out what it is!!

    People will look different every time you see them. Sometimes when I look at myself I wonder who is that person. When you get older you change. She often changed up even when she was younger. Everybody does. We are all human. She might have an illness like we all do at times. She looks OK to me considering a pap took the pic.
    You must be very young to say something like that. An older person would know that you change as you get older. I hardly at all think that she is pregnant. All women get bumps and men too. We have heard that before about her. They have been saying that about her since 2003. Besides, paps often alter their pics to make them go along with what their story tells. They often do that with her. The tabloid media is not her friend. They never have been. I honestly believe the haters and the tabloids want her to have a horror story, like how they have set up some of the other celebs, not to say that through the years they hadn’t tried. Haters and the tabloids want to see her fall. She knows that and said it. She is about as human a person as they come.

    Someone should email this article to all those tabloids who claim to have confirmation about Jessica’s pregnancy, with bold print saying “WERE ON TO YOU PEOPLE, GIVE US A LITTLE CREDIT!”
