CLAIM: Jessica Simpson “Furious” Over Nick Lachey’s Televised Wedding

The National Enquirer claims Jessica Simpson is “furious” about her ex Nick Lachey‘s elaborate island wedding to Vanessa Minnillo, which the couple was able to score for free because it will be televised as a TLC special.

With her own marriage to Eric Johnson coming up soon, Simpson “is livid that her ex upstaged her and now plans to throw a multimillion-dollar televised wedding at an even more fabulous location,” according to the Enquirer‘s “sources.”

“Jessica had no idea Nick would have such a lavish ceremony and was even more upset to know it was free and will air on television,” alleges a so-called “insider.”

This would be interesting if it were true.

But it’s not.

The Enquirer just wants to exaggerate animosity between the exes.

A source close to Simpson tells Gossip Cop the idea that Lachey’s wedding angered her is ridiculous, and says she has no plans to televise her nuptials to Johnson.

    When will they leave this woman alone. Sometimes I think its the Lachey camp putting this crap out there to stay relevant. Its rediculous. Let Jessica & ERIC have there own moment. I am pleased they are not letting out details & hopefully continue to do that. Keep it intimate & private & between them. If they want to share after with a couple pics wonderful if they don’t thats fine too. Jess has tried very hard to stay away from any comments about any of the wedding past or coming it & I appreciate that. She is living her life her way. The sooner ERIC & Jess get married the better & Im truly looking forward to her new fashion show with Elle, Nicole & John.. Keep moving forward Jess & hopefully pull off that private wedding.

    agreed jessica and nick im sure will always love each other but they have grown up they have moved on and these stupid mags need to as well jessica is laughing all the way to the bank with her perfume line and could care less what these gossip rags have to say about her good for her i’ve always like jessica she was lost there for a while but is back on track though her materialistic obsession has not really ceased she still have some growing up to do

    Jessica Simpson said herself on TV that she will not televise her wedding. Also back in December she wished Vanessa And Nick the best. She said that they are perfect for each other. Therefore, what Gossip Cop’s source said seems to be the truth. I think that Gossip Cop is right on spot.

    By Jessica Simpson being in the clothes business, a lot of clothes and things that she wears are given to her. Ask any one of the people in the clothes business. They all get free merchandise to display to the public by wearing them and with their own companies to see how they fit, etc. to take back to the company to give advice. She loves fashion and that is why she has been in the business for for 6 years. What you probably think is materialistic is part of her job. She said herself that she is a t-shirt and jeans girl, but what she wears is part of her job.

    oops meant to hit reply not the like button i wasn’t referring to the clothes rainbow so i can understand your conclusion to that post what I was referring too is her obsessing over that bag her fiance got her the one where you have to wait at least two years to receive on her twitter account that cost around the tune between $15,000-$20,000 grand I’m sorry but any celeb not only Jessica who thinks its sane to pay that much for a bag is nothing but materialistic as they are paying for labels of course that is Hollywood but I call it like I see it, even if I am wrong in my assumptions. I’m a fan of hers big time but I’m not above calling out someone just because I like them other than that I commend her on getting on the love train again and staying true to herself despite all the negativity around her especially about her weight.

    I sort of thought that you were saying that too. I would kiss that bag too if my fiancee bought it for me. I am really kissing how grateful I am for him thinking of me that way. She could buy one herself I’m sure. Jessica Simpson is like that, she is showing her fiancee how she appreciates what he has done knowing her. I think she could buy one but she wouldn’t spend that kind of money for a bag. If you know Jess, she would have kissed a pair of stockings if someone she loves gave it to her. A magazine editor even went to her home and said that you would never even know that Jess has money. I don’t think that she is half as materialistic as some of the others. Oh I wish you could know her like I do.

    There has always been negativity. Tell me something new. You become numb to it. It’s has always been the paparazzo bad angles and photoshopping of her pics and the tabloids lies just to keep their theme going and that is her weight. If she loses pounds she is anorexic. It goes on and on. But they all will get it back one day because Karma is a bitch. The fans pics look better and show what she really looks like. There is a big difference when somebody outside of the paps take her pics.

    okay rainbow she may not be half materialistic as some others but materialistic none the less, like i said i call them like i see them. jess is not half as bad as other celebs out there and im sure you know her better than i but the fact remains she is materialistic there are worse things than being materialistic but she is…i don’t doubt she would kiss a pair of stockings she always seemed down to earth

    She’s an idiot. I wouldn’t doubt it’s true. Nick was the best guy she’s ever had and she managed to f**k that up majorly. Now Nick has moved on to bigger better things and with Vanessa who seems to be a sweet, genuine, down-to-earth gal who really does look like she is madly in love with. They’re living happily ever after and Jessica is with a new idiot guy every other month. That’s what she gets. She brought misery to Nick and now karma’s a b***h. I hope Nick and Vanessa live a long and happy life together, with a new baby coming soon hopefully. Love.

    Oh please. Nick Lachey and his “camp” don’t give a rat’s a** about Jessica. He has VERY MUCH moved on to much bigger, better things with Vanessa. Nick was the best guy Jessica ever had and she managed to f**k that up majorly. Now Nick has moved on with someone who seems to be a sweet, genuine, INTELLIGENT, down-to-earth gal who really does love with him with all her heart. They’re living happily ever after and Jessica is with a new idiot guy every other month. That’s what she gets. She brought misery to Nick and now karma’s a b***h.
