Jessica Simpson is NOT abusing Adderall and worrying her family, despite an In Touch report claiming the entrepreneur’s family has staged an intervention and wants her to go to rehab. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story.

According to the outlet, the “rail-thin fashion mogul” has been “taking substances [like Adderall] to help her lose weight.” In Touch also says her drinking is excessive. “It’s gotten out of control,” a so-called “insider” tells the magazine, which alleges her family turned a recent dinner into an intervention. “They’re afraid. Her family knows she should be in rehab.”

In Touch says the alleged intervention did not go well. The magazine’s source says, “It turned into a heated fight. [Sister] Ashlee really called her out and told her she needed to get help, but Jessica freaked and ran out in tears. Now everyone’s on pins and needles about what to do.” Another source explains that Simpson is totally overwhelmed: “Now all the tension and responsibility [of family and business] combined with the Adderall and alcohol have turned her into a mess.”

What’s a “mess” is the In Touch track record with Simpson. Last December, the tabloid claimed her boozing was interfering with her family life. Back in September, the magazine said she was pregnant with a third child. The month before that, in a span of a few weeks, In Touch said Simpson was in a “dangerous spiral” of weight loss AND getting a tummy tuck.

NONE of these stories was true. And those are just a handful of the recent ones. For years, In Touch has fabricated drama and created crisis out of thin air for Simpson and her family. This new Adderall and rehab report is just more of the same. A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “It’s all totally false.”
