Jessica Biel and Emile Hirsch were among the stars who reached the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s largest free standing mountain, as part of Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro. Musician and philanthropist Kenna masterminded the effort.

Among the other notable climbers: Lupe Fiasco, Isabel Lucas, Santigold, Elizabeth Gore, Alexandra Cousteau, Bernise Ang, Kick Kennedy, Simon Isaacs, Michael Muller, Jimmy Chin, Melissa Arnot and Dr. Greg Allgood.

Since “Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro” was announced in September 2009, the project has raised awareness of the global clean water crisis. Funds have been raised on www.summitonthesummit.com for The Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and Water For People’s Playpump Technology.

The expedition and the dramatic final ascent were also recorded for a special documentary that will air on MTV on March 14th at 9pm.
