Booted Contestant Jermaine Jones Returns to American Idol (VIDEO)

As promised at the end of last week’s “American Idol,” one previously eliminated male contestant would be welcomed back to the show.

On Tuesday’s episode, Jermaine Jones was given a second chance, joining the other 12 male contestants who made it to the semi-finals.

Jones performed Luther Vandross‘ “Dance with My Father,” which earned him a standing ovation from the judges.

“Thank you for proving to us why we asked you to come back,” Steven Tyler told him.

Now Jones’ fate is in America’s hands. The first contestants to be eliminated based on viewers’ votes will be revealed on Thursday.

of course he can sing, however, the idol show is not the place to showcase that baratone voice….that is more for the theatre, broadway shows….

he is a big cry baby and will go home tonight….I think they just brought him back on to keep him from maybe hurting his self……he was so distraught.

and that Leather kid, to MJish, so over that, no talent at all other than a MJ impersonator from back in the date….

the cowboy was too cocky, glad he is gone and not sure who the other was…..

Sometimes all they need is this exposure to get anywhere if they’re good enough – if Jermaine is good enough for broadway and not idol this exposure may be enough for them to notice him – agree re the cowboy – he needs a large dose of humility.
