Jeremy Renner’s Estranged Wife Claims His Guns Make House Unsafe, Demands Primary Custody and More Child Support
Jeremy Renner’s estranged wife Sonni Pacheco is going after primary custody of their two-year-old daughter Ava, filling court documents alleging that Renner’s home is unsafe for a child. Pacheco says Renner keeps guns out in the open and has an improperly fenced pool. She wants to override their current shared custody arrangement and ramp up the child support payments she gets from the actor.
According to the new documents, Pacheco says Renner made approximately $3.5 million in 2014 and has $13 million in assets. She alleges that Renner told her to “get a job” when she requested child support, but TMZ cites sources who say he has been paying her in the wake of their split. Pacheco is also demanding around $100,000 in lawyer fees and legal expenses.
She alleges that Renner’s collection of weapons poses a threat to Ava’s safety, and that at least one of the actor’s guns is supposedly not locked up. Pacheco also expresses concern about the pool area. Again, Renner sources say the situation is not as dangerous as Pacheco describes.
Pacheco filed for divorce back in December, after the couple secretly wed earlier last year. She cited “irreconcilable differences” and made some unusual requests, such as demanding Renner return her allegedly stolen passport and birth certificate, and demanding their prenuptial agreement be voided because of his alleged “fraud.”
