Jenny McCarthy And Donnie Wahlberg To Star In Reality Show Donnie Loves Jenny
Jenny McCarthy is coming back to TV, starring in an unscripted reality show with Donnie Wahlberg. Tentatively titled, “Donnie Loves Jenny,” the 10 one-hour episodes slated to air on A&E will follow the newlyweds as they navigate through their first year of marriage.
Wahlberg and McCarthy, who will also executive produce the show, said in a statement: “Not only have we found a new home together, we have found the perfect place for our exciting new projects to live with A&E Network.” They added, “We’re so excited about this deal and look forward to a long and successful relationship creating entertaining and provocative unscripted programming with our partners at A&E. Our feeling is, who better to make our first show for the network about than about us? We love working together and with our crazy schedules this gives us the chance to both work and play together.”
The deal with A&E, which also airs “Wahlburgers,” is part of a larger commitment by the cable channel to Wahlberg and McCarthy’s new production company D&J Productions, which hopes to create more series for the network.
The first episode, set to air in 2015, will take viewers behind the scenes at Wahlberg and McCarthy’s August 2014 wedding at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles, Illinois. Later episodes of the reality series will show the two adapting to married life. Will you be tuning into “Donnie Loves Jenny”?
