Jennifer Love Hewitt: I Feel Like a “Fool” For Revealing Adam Levine Crush

Jennifer Love Hewitt feels like a “fool” after Adam Levine said he didn’t want to be on her Client List.

The Lifetime star revealed she was crushing on Levine during a recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” but alas, the feeling was not mutual.

Levine stopped by “Ellen” on Thursday, and said of Hewitt’s confession, “That was aggressive.”

Now, the actress says she feels embarrassed about the whole thing.

She tweeted on Friday, “The moment when you make a comment about something or someone and the world makes you feel like a total fool. #keepcrushesquiet.”

Hewitt added, “Am I dating? Am I crushing? No! I’m directing ‘The Client List’ season finale!;)”

In a final tweet, the actress wrote, “Thank you to @adamlevine for being so gracious on Ellen about my crush heard round the world. I’ve learned a lesson. #Sssh.”

    EXACTLY!! why is everyone acting like this woman is so desperate?? she is gorgeous. her want to be in a happy relationship is like everyone elses. why are single women portrayed as desperate all the time? she was being honest and Adam Levine is too much of an @hole to be with. he is an ego maniac. yes, he is hot but the attitude sucks.     At the very least Adam is no gentleman, however, Love should definitely listen to her own council on this subject in the future and be less public with things that she might find embarrassing at a later time….Honesty in some instances is not the best policy…silence is.

    Why are you people bashing Adam? He only responded honestly to an uncomfortable question. Ellen put him on the spot, was he supposed to lie? Jennifer needs to be more careful about what she puts out there. She brought this on herself just like when she went after Ben the ‘Bachelor’ and he also said “no thanks” maybe she is doing this for free publicity through sympathy. Adam is not the bad guy here.

    People have made more of it than it was. I really didn’t see anything wrong with it. It was an off-the-cuff remark, probably intended to be more fun than serious. I like Adam – or did – but I thought he handled that very clumsily and not very gentlemanly at all. Granted, he was a little bit on the spot, but a GENTLEMAN would have managed to say something like, “I’m flattered she feels that way. Thank you, Jennifer.” And smile. Not make a remark that was obviously intended to put her in her place and leave everyone with the impression he wouldn’t touch her with a ten-foot pole. If I were Hewitt, I wouldn’t be apologizing. I’d be insulted and I’d let him know. Adam, you’re not all that. You could do a lot worse and have. And let your hair grow back. That scalp scrape is attrocious on you. Makes you look ten years older.

    And you are sure of these things, how? Do you know Adam or Jennifer personally? How do you rally know what he thinks? I think he is an amazing talent and has earned the right through hard work to be cocky although I have not seen him behave in that way. And no, Mike I am not jealous, Jennifer is a beautiful lady, all I’m saying is being in the public eye perhaps just be careful what you say on National television. I don’t think either of these people are jerks, why would you go with the name calling?
