Jennifer Lopez: “Nasty” Tweet To Mariah Carey Is “Fake”
As Gossip Cop reported, Carey is slated to perform in Brussels in Sunday, but the concert is up in the air due to Tuesday’s terrorist attack. While nothing official has been decided either way, a purported tweet from Carey about the situation circulated on Wednesday. It read, “Praying for Brussels. I’ve been strongly warned against performing there on Sunday but have yet to decide. I’ll let my fans know on ASAP.”
Hours later, on Wednesday night, Lopez was accused of tweeting some serious shade in reply. The tweet said, “@MariahCarey ISIS only target places where there are a lot of people so I think your concert will be okay. Good luck hitting those notes!”
But neither message currently appears on either singer’s Twitter page. And shortly after midnight on Thursday, Lopez tried to set the record straight. In a tweet that is still up on her feed, she stated, “Someone copied my acct &wrote something nasty about another artist. I would never lower myself like that #fake #smallminded #noclass #notme.”
The incident comes three weeks after Lopez denied on “Watch What Happens Live” that she and Carey are in a years-long feud. But after the interview, Carey once again claimed not to know who is J.Lo is, harkening back to a years-old diss. She has not, however, responded to the tweet controversy.
