Jennifer Lopez, Lin-Manuel Miranda ‘Today’ Show Concert Video – Watch Performance!
Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda performed their new song “Love Make the World Go Round” on Monday’s “Today” as part of the morning show’s Citi Concert Series. Watch the video below!
The collaboration between the two music superstars was written as a tribute to the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. It was released last Friday, and a music video is in the works. On Saturday night, Lopez brought her 8-year-old twins, Max and Emme, and her boyfriend Casper Smart to see Miranda’s last-ever performance in his Tony Award winning Broadway smash-hit show, Hamilton. Now at Rockefeller Plaza, the stars gave their first live performance of their joint track, with survivors of the massacre in the crowd.
Tickets to the “Today” concert series are offered on a free, first-come, first-served basis, so fans are expected to arrive bright and early in order to get a spot close to the stage, even if it’s just for one song. Traditionally, the summer concerts are usually held on Fridays, and, as Gossip Cop reported, Diddy kicked off the lineup of the Citi Concert Series in May, followed by performances from Dierks Bentley, Fifth Harmony, Luke Bryan, Nick Jonas, Charlie Puth, Meghan Trainor, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Steven Tyler, Rachel Platten and Shawn Mendes.
Additional music stars who will be taking the “Today” stage in the coming weeks include Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys and more. Watch Lopez and Miranda’s performance of “Love Make the World Go Round” in the video below, as well as their interview about the song.
