Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony Have NOT Set New Wedding Date, Despite Report
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have not set a wedding date, nor are the exes planning to get married to each other again, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this inaccurate claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
According to RadarOnline, Anthony and Lopez are “gearing up for another splashy, romantic, marital duet.” The repeatedly discredited outlet further alleges the ex-spouses “plan to re-tie the knot on June 5, 2017 — the 13th anniversary of their first wedding.” A seemingly fabricated “insider” is then quoted as telling the webloid, “Jen is gushing to friends the second time will be the charm with Marc.”
It appears the impetus for this concocted story was Lopez and Anthony kissing on stage on November 17 at Latin Grammy Awards. The webloid seems to have cobbled that, Lopez splitting up earlier with Casper Smart, and Anthony and Shannon De Lima announcing they were divorcing shortly after the smooch, to create this untrue article. The reality, however, is that Anthony and De Lima had separated well before their split was disclosed.
Facts be damned, the often disproven outlet trotted out a so-called “source” who maintains that Lopez is “not a girl who’s comfortable on her own, so when the Casper thing fizzled, Jen zeroed in on Marc.” “Besides that, the twins have been campaigning to get their parents back together. They never warmed up to their stepmom, Shannon,” adds the webloid’s dubious insider. The same questionable source also contends the “spark never really died” between Lopez and Anthony, and “they’re older now, and more mature. Both of them realize the grass is definitely not greener on the other side, and Jen wants to put her family back together.”
While that plot worked well in The Parent Trap, the assertion that Lopez and Anthony’s twins have gotten their parents back together in real-life, and that the singers are not only getting married again but have even set a wedding date is 100 percent false. A source close to Lopez assures Gossip Cop the two are definitely “not together,” and an Anthony insider calls the claim “not true.”
Admittedly, Lopez and Anthony have remained close since they divorced on 2011. And he is even producing Lopez’s next album. But, as Gossip Cop previously noted, Anthony is not getting back together with Lopez.
