Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez NOT “Talking Marriage,” Despite Report
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are NOT “talking marriage,” despite an inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s not true.
The singer and former MLB star have been dating for only a few months, but according to a new Us Weekly report, they’ve already begun “mulling matrimony.” A source tells the magazine, “They’ve been talking about the future, and marriage has come up. They aren’t making wedding plans, but they have been talking about their lives.”
The outlet goes on to claim that Lopez and Rodriguez also “have their families’ blessings” to go forward with tying the knot. But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the former New York Yankees player, and we’re exclusively told that, while some family members have met and the couple vaguely talks about “the future,” they haven’t been discussing marriage yet. “Is this from April Fools’ [Day]?,” added our impeccable insider.
As Gossip Cop reported, Rodriguez spoke about Lopez on “The View” last month, calling her “an amazing girl,” and admitting they’ve “been having a great time” together. The couple’s relationship has seemingly gotten more serious in the past few weeks, but the magazine’s claim about impending nuptials is simply not true and extremely premature.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Us Weekly has been wrong about the singer’s love life. We previously corrected the publication for falsely claiming that Lopez’s ex-husband Marc Anthony was trying to win her back. That report was incorrect, and a good portion of this latest article is similarly inaccurate.
