Jennifer Lopez Leaving American Idol for The X Factor?

Reality Weekly claims the producers of “The X Factor” are “chasing after American Idol’s Jennifer Lopez in hopes that she will jump ship” and join its singing competition show.

According to the tab, the “X Factor” team knows “they are going to have to top the $20 million [Lopez] gets on Idol,” but that’s OK with them, since the mag says “money is not an issue.”

Added to the mix is that Britney Spears may join the show. Reality Weekly says Simon Cowell loves the idea of Lopez and Spears having “catfights.”

The mag then quotes a fabricated “insider” as saying, “Simon loves playing his girls against each other and Britney and Jen will be battling for his approval as his favorite.”

Enough.

This story is completely made-up by the ironically titled Reality Weekly.

In between laughing, a rep for Lopez told Gossip Cop the tabloid’s tale is “inaccurate.”

    Right. She has always said that she was a fan of Idol from the start and that she was thrilled to be working on it. She would turn her back on Idol. She’s staying true to the show that shes loved from the beginning. Way o be desperate for news guys
