Jennifer Lopez Performs “I Luh Ya PaPi” with Idol Alums — WATCH HERE!
Jennifer Lopez performed her new single “I Luh Ya PaPi” for the first time on Thursday’s “American Idol.” She was surprisingly joined by some familiar faces.
“Idol” alums Jessica Sanchez (season 11), Pia Toscano (season 10), and Allison Iraheta (season 8) kicked things off by gushing with Lopez about the season 13 male contestants, before the foursome sang together acapella.
The judge then took center stage with her backup singers. Compared to the track’s risque music video, which, as Gossip Cop reported, featured practically naked men, this rendition was relatively tame. It was, of course, still entertaining nonetheless. The singer was also joined by French Montana, marking his first appearance on the FO show.
Sanchez was the runner-up on season 11 of “American Idol.” Pia Toscano, once a frontrunner in season 10, was shockingly eliminated after just cracking the Top 10, falling to ninth place. And Iraheta finished in the fourth spot during season 8.
It was nice to see “American Idol” giving love to some of its alumni who, while maybe not the most famous faces from the show, are still beloved none the less. Here’s hoping this is the start of a new trend.
